Zampost Soweto

Zampost Soweto is an e-commerce solution by Zampost built on the Zarzam platform. The mission of the store is to bring buyers and sellers together onto one platform in Zambia. Zampost Soweto is "Zambia's Online Marketplace". The history of postal services in Zambia dates back to 1896 when the first Post Offices were established at Abercorn, now Mbala, Fort Jemeson now Chipata and Kalungwishi near Lake Mweru. In August 2009 the Postal Services Act No. 24 of 1994 was repealed and replaced with the revised Postal Services Act No. 22 of 2009 which defined Zampost’s mandate as providing postal and courier services, and financial services including the creation of Post Bank. As market conditions change, Zampost is changing as well. Zampost Soweto will enable Zampost to extend its courier services all across the country in a new and exciting way.
